UK parenting website Mumsnet has announced the launch of ‘Bumpfest,’ its first live event – a day-long happening designed to cover parenting stages from birth through to weaning.

Sponsored by retailer Aldi, Bumpfest is scheduled to take place at 30 Euston Square, London on 27th  September, with a remit to ensure parents-to-be leave the event with the know-how to cope after birth.

Master classes will offer advice on routines, development, bonding and sleep, as well as providing realistic advice from those who’ve given birth.

Speakers will include BBC journalist and presenter Kate Silverton, Gill Rapley of Unicef UK’s Baby Friendly Initiative and Linda Geddes, author of Bumpology.

As key sponsor, Aldi will also be bringing its award-winning baby products to the event to help new mums on their journey through motherhood.

“One of the joys of Mumsnet is that you can come on at any time – day or night – and ask for advice from those who know when you suddenly find yourself expecting and later confronted with a small human,” explained Justine Roberts, founder of Mumsnet.

“We wanted to turn the virtual support group into a real-world one – which is why we’re hosting our very first Bumpfest.”

The event, which runs from 9am to 5pm, will cost £65 with a special discount for partners with two tickets costing £95.
